Do you ever get that "cowboy" feeling? Like, you were just trying to peacefully drive cattle from Texas to Dodge when the dang things decided to stampede.
Suddenly, you're riding hard through a cloud of dust. You can't hear yourself shout over the din of thundering hooves. You're torn between trying to turn the herd ... and just riding the heck out of there as fast as you can, hoping nobody sees you go!
Sound a little like a typical Monday morning? Ha! Yeah, I feel like that, too, whenever I read about Google's latest algorithm update, social media venture, local listing revamp or AdWords "improvement." Facebook can make me feel the same way and sometimes I just want to let Linked-In wander off into a ravine.
But I don't. No, like any good cowboy, I saddle up and go after them. I can't slow them down, sure as heck cannot stop them, but I can try to keep up and make sure they don't run over us or any of our clients.
In fact, we have a whole team of technology cowboys working on this every day. They scour Analytics reports for hundreds of clients in markets across the country -- looking for developing trends (or stampedes!). They read expert blogs, subscribe to Google notifications, sign up for demos and free trials and test, test, test everything.
Right now, we are testing new reporting platforms that we hope will bring our clients more robust information in better, easier-to-read formats. Our web designers just went back to school to learn cutting-edge technology that will make your websites (by far) the best-in-the-industry. Bar none. We have account managers in training to handle your paid search (AdWords) campaigns, and integrate analytics across both paid and organic search so we can make sure you get the best bang for your marketing dollar! Oh, and we just launched a way-cool integrated web calendar and content management system that makes event scheduling a breeze!
One thing to remember about this modern-day "cattle" drive -- technology is always moving. Sometimes slower, sometimes faster, and sometimes like a charging stampede. If you're not paying attention, it will trample you!
While you're practicing law, our technology cowboys are always out there, steadily driving to meet your marketing goals.
Some days, by the end of the day, we really do feel about as tired as a dusty old cow poke. But, just like those cowboys of the Old West, we wouldn't trade this ride for anything!
