If you receive a formal "Thank You" or another sign of gratitude from a client you've done work for, take that opportunity to invite them to leave a formal review on your Google Business Page or Avvo Profile. 5-star reviews can land you a higher position in the local and organic search rankings than attorneys with no formal reviews.
Consider directly emailing happy clients a short "review request" (with links to click) to both your Avvo Profile and Google Business Page.
