With the New Year comes a chance to refresh and renew our lives. Usually, our resolutions focus on improving our bodies or becoming more productive at work. But don’t forget about keeping your website shiny and effective, working hard to meet your marketing goals. Take a few minutes to sit down and write down some goals for your website for 2015.
Need a jump start on those website marketing resolutions? Here are a few to get you started:
Resolve to be responsive.
Don’t have a responsive website yet? The transition period between static websites becoming responsive is coming to an end. If your site is not yet responsive, you’re running out of time! My prediction is that by the end of 2015, static (non-responsive) websites are going to be outdated. Want to learn more about responsive design? Check out this post for more information.
Resolve to put your best face forward.
Take a look at your headshot on your website. Is it professional? I know it’s hard to do, but try to separate yourself from the person in the photo. Pretend you’ve never met yourself. Does the headshot portray someone that you would trust and come to for advice? If not, consider getting a new professional headshot taken. Before you go, review these tips to get the best portrait.
Resolve to stay updated.
Do you offer client workshops? Or do you host workshops for financial advisors and other professionals? If not workshops, do you appear as a guest speaker at any events? If so, let your clients know! Make sure your website and speaking engagement schedule is kept up-to-date so that clients can learn about and register for events well in advance. Keeping your events updated is easy, just submit a ticket with the information you want to appear on the site and we’ll get your site updated quickly!
With resolutions like these in place, 2015 is bound to be your website’s best year yet!
